Glossy Photo Paper Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Laser and Inkjet glossy photo paper?
Answer: Glossy photo paper is 'shinier' than matt photo paper, reflecting light well. Glossy photo paper depicts colours more vibrantly and for many, glossy photos are the standard for colour prints that people are used to seeing. Glossy prints do, however, smudge more easily and pick up visible fingerprints and dirt. In situations where photos are going to be handled frequently, you may prefer to print on matt photo paper.
Can I print on glossy photo paper on both sides?
Answer: Glossy Photo Paper is far superior when it comes to its light-reflecting abilities, which essentially means that the final printed photograph will be of finer quality compared to Semi-Gloss Photo Paper. However, Semi-Gloss is more resistant to dust and fingerprints, so is more suitable for photographs that will be handled regularly.
How long does it take for glossy photo paper to dry?
Answer: In order to allow the photograph to dry fully, you should leave it for 24 hours and ensure that you do not lay any additional printed documents on top of it.
