Is it ok to use A4 coloured card in a printer?
Answer: Yes, all our coloured card is 160gsm in thickness, which is easily thin enough to be used in a standard printer.
Is coloured card suitable for making business cards?
Answer: Although it is perfectly possible to make business cards from coloured card, we recommend a thickness of at least 300gsm for business cards. Therefore, at 160gsm, coloured card is not suitable.
Will coloured card flake when it is cut?
Answer: No, coloured card will not flake when cut. You should get a nice, clean cut if you use a good quality pair of scissors or another cutting tool.
Can coloured card be used for drawing, sketching and colouring?
Answer: Yes, coloured card is frequently bought for children to use as colouring or drawing paper and is suitable for such use.
What is card?
In accordance with the ISO 216 paper sizing system, the weight of paper is expressed in grams per square metre (gsm). Printing paper is generally between 60gsm and 120gsm. 80gsm is standard. Anything heavier than 160gsm is considered card. A higher gsm tends to imply a thicker, and therefore stiffer, card.
Using coloured card
