A gusset is a piece of material sown into a garment to strengthen or enlarge it, as in gussets in tights. Gusseted envelopes are envelopes with expandable, ‘V’-shaped sides and reinforced gusset bottoms which maximise the available capacity. The paper thickness ranges from 115 to 155gsm. Gusset envelopes are thus strong envelopes with a large capacity, ideal for sending multi-page documents and other bulky items. Plain white or manilla, all gusset envelopes employ peel and seal closure.
