Colour laser printers are often preferred over colour inkjet printers because of their ability to produce clean and crisp images, text and graphic illustrations.
If you want to print colourful, high-quality materials for marketing purposes or business presentations, then a colour laser printer is a good choice.
Generally speaking, the main advantages of laser printers, whether colour or monochrome, are speed, precision and economy of use. They use toner cartridges which usually work out much cheaper than ink.
A laser beam can "write" with much greater speed than an ink jet. And because the beam has an unvarying diameter, it can draw more accurately, without spilling any ink.
While colour laser printers are ideal for graphics, they are not recommended if you want to print high quality, natural-looking photographs (inkjets do a better job).
The cost of colour laser printers has fallen in recent years, making them more affordable for home offices, with models like the Brother HL-3140CW providing good colour graphics.
