Office heaters
Hopefully your modern office is centrally heated, but for those occasions when the central heating breaks down or when you just need an extra blast of heat on a cold day, Paperstone offers a range of ceramic, electric, fan and convector heaters.
Types of heater
Fan heater
A fan heater works by passing air over a heating element. Fan heaters heat up a room very quickly but they can be quite noisy. They are therefore useful for use in short spells.
Convector heaters and radiators
Convector heaters and radiators work in the same way. Air in immediate contact with the appliance heats up and rises, being replaced by colder air which is then heated. Convection currents heat up the room. Convector heaters and radiators are quiet and effective.
Radiative heaters, or “space” heaters
Radiative heaters like our Micromark Workshop heater function in a similar way to which a light bulb produces heat. In fact radiative heat travels like light. A heating element is encased in a glass element, perhaps with reflectors to maximise the effect. The element emits infrared radiation that travels through space until it hits an absorbing surface – i.e. it warms people and objects rather than the surrounding air. Radiative heaters are thus suitable for workshops and garages. You could even put one outdoors for your smokers!
