Office Stationery at Paperstone
Office stationery is the bread and butter of our business as it still remains a central feature of the modern workplace - despite predictions to the contrary. Broadly speaking, by 'office stationery' we mean paper products central to a business's communications: paper, envelopes, labels, diaries, calenders, business cards. For those tools on your desk that you use every day - like staplers, stamps and sticky notes - browse our desk accessory section.
Paperstone supplies a huge range of office stationery throughout the UK on a daily basis and choosing and ordering the right office stationery couldn't be easier. Our website is our shopfront but behind the scenes there is a whirr of human activity, ensuring that you get your delivery quickly and without any hassles. We at Paperstone know that you want ordering office stationery to be simple and trouble-free and any complications that do arise are dealt with by us and not laid at your doorstep.
Office Stationery - Why Paperstone?
- In its first five years of supplying office stationery Paperstone has gained experience, expertise, loyal, returning customers and industry awards and accolades.
- For almost all office stationery, we deliver on the next working day.
- During office hours, a small, friendly and knowledgable team is always available on the phone - you won't get through to an anonymous call centre agent who knows little about stationery and nothing about you.
- Should you find the same office product cheaper elsewhere, we'll match the price or even refund you the difference if you have already made the purchase with us.
Reduce - Reuse - Recycle. Recycled office supplies are gaining in popularity, not just because of concerns about climate change and deforestation, but also because we are becoming ever more conscientious about waste in general. We already have a large section covering recycled paper products, recycled files and folders and recycled pens and we plan to give this more prominence as demand allows.
StationEry or stationAry?
It's StationEry! Stationery is what stationers like Paperstone sell. StationAry means 'still', 'not moving.' For all you amateur etymologists out there, both 'stationery' and 'stationary' are derived from the same Latin root, stationarius, meaning a fixed location. In the Middle Ages, a 'station' referred to a tradesman plying his or her wares at a fixed location, as opposed to an itinerant seller. Since sellers who set up shop outside universities - selling books, paper, writing implements, etc - were one of the few traders at this time who weren't itinerant and who sold from a fixed 'station', they became known as 'stationers' and the stuff they sold as 'stationery'.
