National Stationery Week: meet the Paperstone team’s alter-egos

By Kelly Roets on 11 May 2026 in Uncategorized with 0 Comments

National Stationery Week kicks off on 11th May (today), and here at Paperstone we couldn’t resist celebrating in our own (slightly quirky) way.

We asked the team one very important question: “If you were a stationery product, what would you be?”

The answers didn’t disappoint (and neither did the AI generated images!)

Darren stationery alter ego

Darren, Head of Merchandising – Bubble wrap

Not here to show off, but absolutely essential. Quietly and consistently supportive.

Jamie, Account Manager – Trusty ruler

A lover of accuracy and the details. If it needs measuring, checking, or refining, he’s already on it.

Jamie
Max

Max, Customer Service Manager – Stabilo highlighter

Bringing colour, positivity, and a little bit of brightness to every day. Impossible to miss – in the best way.

Tim, Merchandising – Calculator

Not always used, but when needed, delivers the right answer.

Danny

Danny, Accounts – Leitz Stapler

Bright, dependable, and holding everything together with colourful energy. Every team needs one.

Sarah, Head of Marketing – Smiley face bulldog clip

Small, friendly, and deceptively strong. Holding things together with determination (and a smile).

Sarah
Jim stationery alter ego

Jim, CEO – Electric multipurpose screwdriver

Just like the multipurpose screwdriver, DIY legend Jim is (mostly) useful in any situation turning his many skills to the task at hand.

John, Sales Director – Desk lamp

Like a desk lamp – a constant, dependable presence – bending without breaking and keen to adjust to what’s needed.

John
Soph stationery alter ego

Soph, Sales Admin – Classic BIC Ballpoint pen

Dependable, flows smoothly, and is always ready for action. No fuss – just gets the job done.

Matt, New Business Manager – Dahle shredder

Premium performance, long run time, and absolutely ruthless with the competition. Enough said.

Matt
Peter

Peter, E-commerce Project Manager – Whiteboard

Full of ideas… some brilliant, some abandoned – but always ready for the next big thing.

Kels, Digital Marketing Assistant – Sticky note

Organised, adaptable, and making sure nothing important slips through the cracks.

Kels
Ed

Ed, Web Developer – Rolling ruler

He’s precise, flexible, and will be thinking one step ahead.
