Alexander Hulme is an East London-based designer of both the practical and conceptual.

His pocket pencil (above) is a surpising but simple take on a wood-cut pencil – with an over-pocket clip hewn in.

In Hulme’s calculators (below), “The memory function has been turned into a button. This means its always possible to know what is in the memory and use it calculations as any other button.”
