Convert an Old Office Chair into a Cat Tree

By Paperstone on April 21, 2017 in Fun, Office Chairs, Office Furniture

Does your office have a resident kitty and an old office chair that no-one uses? If so, take a break from your work and engage your practical and creative skills to transform the unwanted chair into a two-tier cat tree!

You’ll need some cute fabric to convert the old cushions into something cheerful and cosy for your pet, a few dangly toys and some machine bolts, screws and other odds and ends.

The cat tree instructions and images are provided by Lylleharper at instructables.com, who wrote, “This was an ugly gray office chair we had around that had a broken pneumatic shaft.

“My cat really loves this chair and we haven’t yet bought her a cat tree, so I thought it would be great if I could transform this into something resembling one.

“I decided on a two-tiered cat tree with a scratching post in the middle, a few dangly toys and a covered habitat underneath.”

The tree should provide hours of feline fun, while you get on with your work, uninterrupted by the patter of tiny paws across your keyboard.
