Recycle Week 2013

Recycle Week is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year – and businesses all over the UK are invited to get involved in the event.

The week will run June 17-23 and the aim is to get people to think about how they can recycle when they are away from home, including when they are at work.

Businesses are encouraged to support the campaign through their websites, company newsletters and magazines, and social media channels. Retailers are encouraged to provide in store messages about recycling, and highlight the recycled content in the products they sell.

Organisers of the event, WRAP, want to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has been recycling over the past 10 years, so the event will also celebrate how much recycling has grown in the UK over the past decade. Partner businesses are encouraged to make their own videos about how they have been increased their recycling efforts since 2004.

We will all be urged to take our good recycling habits into work and the event will focus on metals, plastics, packaging, textiles and food waste.
