A kettle which looks like Hitler is selling like hot cakes.

American retailer JC Penney is selling hundreds of the Michael Graves Design Bells and Whistles kettle after someone noticed it resembled Herr Fuhrer.

An image of the kettle photographed from a billboard went viral, and is the latest item to feature on the website Things That Look Like Hitler.

The £35 kettle is just one of many objects, animals and people said to resemble the infamous dictator over the past couple of years.

A house in Swansea is said to look like the despot, with a slanted roof resembling his hair and a door resembling his moustache. Fish, dogs, cats, and even a tape recorder have also been compared to the Fuhrer.

J C Penney has been amazed by the huge sell-out of its kettle. The company tweeted, “If we had designed it to look like something, we would have gone with a snowman or something fun.”
