The 10 billionth tweet was tweeted the other week, according to the GigaTweet site which tracks these things. As can be seen from the above graphic, use of Twitter is growing exponentially and it shouldn’t be long – less than 200 days – before the 20 billionth tweet is recorded.
According to Twitter’s own figures, “we are seeing 50 million tweets per day – that’s an average of 600 tweets per second.”
