Office supplies con artist caught again

By Paperstone on May 10, 2007 in Office Supplies

The 16-year-old south London boy who was recently convicted of scamming unsuspecting customers out of £250,000 in phoney office supplies sales has been caught doing it again.

After beginning his criminal dealings aged just 13, the boy was recently charged with conning many people out of their money through fake sales of office supplies, vacuum cleaners and stationery.

But despite his recent conviction the boy has been caught breaching his bail conditions by continuing to trade online, as well as placing adverts in two national newsPapers for his business.

The boy is thought to have been inspired by the hit film Catch Me If You Can, which is based on a similar real life story and stars Leonardo DiCaprio.

Frank Abagnale, the character played by DiCaprio, manages to swindle millions of dollars through a series of intelligent scams.

But unlike Mr Abagnale, who now runs a financial fraud consultancy company, the young Chiswick boy has been caught in the act a second time.

It was recently reported that the boy owed one staff member around £4,000 in back pay and she even suggested her boyfriend had bought two printers from the phoney office supplies salesman.

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a legitimate selection of office supplies.
