Geographical Disparities in Environmental Zeal
Support of environmental initiatives in the UK workplace varies substantially by region, according to a recent poll.
The Euroffice-commissioned survey reveals the UK’s most and least eco-friendly regions. The South West came out top as the most supportive of green workplace practices, with 95 percent of respondents supporting eco-initiatives. The North West emerged as the least supportive region (73%). London (76%) also scored poorly in eco-friendly terms.
Notwithstanding variations in environmental enthusiasm, few business were putting green initiatives into practice. Just over a quarter of all respondents said their firm was involved in an energy-saving scheme or encouraged its staff to travel in a greener manner.
