Samsung lays out strategy for office products

Samsung has unveiled a new strategy for its office equipment, which attempts to give workers the same product standards as consumers receive.

The Korean office machines manufacturer said that in the future, users will receive the same experience, regardless of whether they are using devices at home, in the office or in a mobile capacity.

Dr JW Park, president of digital media at the office equipment company, said that the philosophy will also apply to the appearance of products.

"Who says office products cannot look great? Our customers want a better user experience," he explained.

His comments come as Samsung plans to show off a new range of innovative electronics and office equipment at the IFA event in Berlin.

One of the new office products which the company hopes will appeal to home workers and small businesses is a multi-function copier, scanner and printer.

Claiming that it is the smallest in its class, Samsung said it believes that the simplicity of controls and attractive appearance could make the office machines more accessible to these groups.

Samsung was recently named the number-one consumer electronics brand in the world by BusinessWeek magazine.
