But have you clocked a woman eating her designer handbag?

Commuters on a New York train were stunned when a blonde model started tucking into her quilted Chanel purse.

The man sitting next to her moved away, a little disturbed by her ‘crazy’ behaviour. Straphangers looked on with a mixture of amusement and horror as the lass took some serious bites out of the fashion accessory.

But it was a clever hoax. The model’s bag was a skillfully decorated cake made by pastry chefs from the city’s InternationalCulinaryCenter.

The moment was caught in a promotional video for the prestigious cookery school, and shows the man who was at first worried about the woman’s behaviour having a quick munch on the handbag himself.

Now that has to be the icing on the cake!
