Cricketer Freddie Flintoff has revealed a desire to play a role in ITV’s long-running soap Coronation Street. “I could be in The Kabin, marking up the Papers with Norris and Rita,” the all-rounder reflected.

Corrie is 50 years old in December.

Flintoff joins Rio Ferdinand who said of this telly institution, “I love the whole dynamic, the way it is put together, it is my world, it is something I could fall into.”

Earlier in July, rapper Snoop Dogg (né Cordozar Calvin Broadus) got his agent to get in touch with the Corrie crew about a possible cameo appearance or summat.
