City Workers’ Technology Blessed
One we missed from 11 January 2010.
Taking its cues from the tradition of workers having their tools of their trade such as ploughs and scythes to be blessed on the first Monday after people return to work following Christmas, a church service was held at the St Lawrence Jewry church in which Vicar David Parrott blessed the mobile phones and other gadgets of the 80 or so City workers in attendance.
“As I prayed for God’s blessing on the technology, they were holding their phones in the air," said Parrot.
Members of the flock held their technology in the air before going off to trade derivatives and other Christian stuff.
