What connotes suffering and yet simultaneously brings a smile to our face? A domesticated four-legged beast shooting its owner with a firearm.

A dog has shot a man. The female black retriever apparently stepped on her master’s shotgun, firing shot into the hunter from Los Banos, California who had walked away to gather some duck decoys.

CBS: “Authorities said the dog disengaged the safety and hit the trigger at the same time, firing a shell with #2 shot. The man was struck in on the left side of his upper back.”
