Samsung to help firms recycle office products
One of the world’s largest technology firms has launched a new programme designed to help increase the number of office machines and printer cartridges that are recycled around the world.
The Samsung PrintCycle aims to help businesses reuse old office products and replace those which have a harmful affect on the environment with more eco-friendly office machines.
All of Samsung‘s future office machines will be more environmentally-friendly, using new technologies to minimise the impact on the planet.
Jay Shears, director of marketing and digital printing systems at Samsung, said: "Samsung is continuously trying to find ways to be environment friendly.
"By offering easy ways to help the business professional support environmentally safe options, we are providing a service to our customers and a continuing commitment to the environment."
Last month, Samsung launched its new CLP-660ND office produces, which use inkjet cartridges to print documents at speeds of up to 25 pages per minute and contains expandable 128 Mb internal memory.
The one-touch duplex print option for double-sided documents comes as a built-in standard feature to minimise wasted Paper.
