Green office supplies retailer branches out

By Paperstone on February 4, 2008 in Office Supplies

An office supplies retailer in Canada has had such success from selling environmentally-friendly office products that he intends to start producing his own very soon.

Frogfile Office Essentials’ president Gil Yaron started his own office supplies company in 2006 after changing career from a vocation as a lawyer.

By selling a number of green office supplies products, Mr Yaron has been able to move to a bigger location in his home city of Vancouver and will launch his own range of office supplies and office products later this year, the Vancouver Sun reports.

Mr Yaron told the publication: "There’s a huge environmental impact associated with office supply consumption.

"It’s an industry that has been slow to change. I’m a lawyer, so I was familiar with office consumption when I started out. I knew there was a latent demand out there but not a lot of availability."

Last month, a new environmental programme which uses recycled printer cartridges was launched by one of the world’s largest office machines manufacturers.

HP stated that more of its printer cartridges than ever before will be made from recycled plastic during 2008, with the company aiming to double the number of inkjet cartridges made this way.

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office supplies.
