Printer cartridges refilling firm opens

By Paperstone on November 14, 2007 in Ink Cartridges And Toners

A new shop has opened in Bromley which is dedicated to refilling printer cartridges while customers wait.

The Ink Company said that one of its aims is to cut down on the number of printer cartridges which are sent to landfills, the News Shopper reports.

It also hopes that users of office machines will appreciate the change to help the environment.

Mark van den Hoogenband, manager of The Ink Company, told the publication: "Clean and green are allegedly the main reasons why people enjoy living and working in Bromley.

"The new printer cartridge refilling service at The Ink Company helps businesses and people in Bromley to do their own bit for the environment. This is an opportunity for governments, businesses, consumers and the environment."

While customers wait, the firm refills printer cartridges with a range of inks, which it claims will guarantee a perfect match with the original colour.

Some 270 different shades and types are available and should help avoid a situation in which printer cartridges are filled with inappropriate ink and do not function properly.

Refilled printer cartridges may also cost only ten per cent of the price of an original product, the firm added.

The Environmental Agency recently introduced new recycling legislation for small businesses.
