Office supplies recycling improving, says Kyocera

By Paperstone on July 9, 2007 in Office Supplies

Japanese IT firm Kyocera has suggested that recycling of printer supplies, office supplies and office equipment has soared by almost 100 per cent in the past 14 years, according to reports in mrw.co.uk.

However, although recycling of office supplies is improving, Kyocera suggests that businesses are confused by the complexity of environmental issues.

The group’s study, which was compiled by Lordhouse Research Consultancy, suggests that firms have more to deal with than ever before regarding their green policies.

Kyocera marketing director Tracey Rawling Church said: "When we launched our first Ecosys printer back in 1993, major concerns centred around recycling Paper and eliminating CFCs – quick wins which could be ticked off as Paper recycling trays appeared around the office and we switched to CFC-free aerosols.

"Now an organisation has to take into account its energy consumption, the conscientious disposal of end-of-life equipment, transport policies and myriad other issues before it can claim to have an environmental policy."

Kyocera, one of the world’s leading printer supplies and office supplies manufacturers, was founded in 1959 and is based in Kyoto.

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office supplies.
