Ergonomic office furniture 'could help posture'

Office furniture Employees who experience back or body pain while sitting at work may benefit from ergonomic office furniture, it has been suggested.

Australian website Infolink describes how a new ergonomic chair designed by an office furniture firm could help address these problems.

"In today’s ever changing workplace a constant problem is staff sitting in poorly designed office chairs with no support," the site states.

"A human body is not designed to sit in one place in that position for any long period of time."

The Lotus Ergonomic chair, which is manufactured by Sydney-based SK Office Furniture, is designed to provide lower-back support for extended periods of work in a seated position at a desk.

Moulded foam lumbar support, the choice of a medium or high back, adjustable arms with soft pads and a ratchet back height adjustment are some of the features of the chair.

It can also be ordered in a range of different upholstery colours and comes with a ten-year warranty.

Other office furniture made by the firm includes desks, conference tables, storage units, filing cabinets and workstations.

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office furniture.
