The Great Place to Work Institute has published its 10th annual UK’s Best Workplaces survey which reveals the best companies to work for in the UK. The survey assesses the relationships between staff and management as well as job satisfaction and employees’ feelings towards their companies.

The list is topped by Baringa Partners, a management consultancy. Household names in the top ten include Microsoft, Danone and Diageo, the alcohol multinational.

  4. Microsoft
  5. Novo Nordisk
  6. NetApp UK
  7. Diageo GB
  8. General Mills UK
  9. Danone Waters UK & Ireland
  10. Admiral Group

The survey found that, against the backdrop of recession, Europe’s best workplaces grew by 15% on average. Sickness absence in the UK’s best was 30% lower than the national average. Companies with happy employees thus reap clear economic benefits.
