HP unveils office equipment management system

One of the world’s largest office machines manufacturers has launched new software to help small businesses easily monitor a network of up to 15 office products at once.

HP‘s Easy Printer Care 2.5i allows businesses to set up a one-stop print management system to view the status of multiple office machines and office products set up in a network across the company.

The free system has initially been launched by HP Middle East, with a UK launch set for the summer.

A statement from HP said: "HP Proactive Support allows HP to fix problems with HP drivers, software, and device firmware before an end user even knows the problem exists."

Earlier this month, HP launched a programme in the US state of California to highlight consumer recycling of printer cartridges and inkjet cartridges.

HP signed a deal with the state government to provide recycling facilities at all state buildings so that HPprinter cartridges – as well as other brands – can be recycled.

Together, the partnership aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by as much as 500 tonnes per year.
