October Is Make A Difference Month

October is Make a Difference Month when we are all encouraged to contribute to our communities and make the world a better place.

The event is organised by the Community Service Volunteers (CSV), a UK-based volunteering and training charity which has been around for more than 50 years.  In the past 12 months, CSV has helped almost 9,000 kind-hearted employees become volunteers.

These community spirited individuals donated 55,000 hours of their time to 450 schools and community groups nationwide.

CVS organises one-off events and team volunteering programmes and provides a free consultancy service for employers. Opportunities can be tailor-made for your workplace, and help is given with risk assessment and all aspects of organising voluntary activities.

Last year’s campaign was a big success and organisers hope for another great October in 2014. So this year, why don’t you organise something in your workplace and really Make a Difference?
