Hugo Chavez: PlayStation Games ‘Poison’

By Paperstone on January 21, 2010 in Computer Supplies

Hugo Chavez has called video games ‘poison’ and has said of them that they are proxies for capitalist warmongering.

“Those games they call ‘PlayStation’ are poison,” he said. “Some games teach you to kill. They once put my face on a game, ‘you’ve got to find Chavez to kill him.’”

Chavez identified Western games to slick propaganda vehicles, saying their violence exists to incite violence against countries like Venezuela so that capitalist countries can “later sell weapons” to the country’s opponents.

Chavez has previouly criticised Nintendo for promoting “selfishness, individualism and violence” in their games.
