I.T. Workers Are Unhealthy

By Paperstone on November 25, 2009 in Office Workers

According to a survey of 1,734 UK workers commissioned by the Fat Free Fitness Weightloss Agency, I.T. workers are the least likely to meet the government’s activity guidelines, which recommend half an hour of moderate exercise, five times a week. Only 19 percent of them meet the guidelines while a similarly small proportion (14 percent) get their five portions a day of fruit or veg. To add to the salubriousness, the average I.T. worker drinks 10 cups of coffee a day.

Receptionists also fare badly in the poll, while manual labourers and fitness instructors do rather better.
