A Busy Week For Envelopes

In a news week packed with envelopes

On March 31, the U.S. Postal Service was flooded with thousands of empty red envelopes addressed to the White House in an anti-abortion campaign. The envelopes were to represent the lives lost to abortion. Participants were encouraged either to send their own or to purchase imprinted red envelopes from the website of the orgainisers, “Red Envelope Day”. More than 150,000 red envelopes were pledged to be sent on March 31, according to the website.

Meanwhile, a hospital and town hall in central Florida were shut down after authorities recovered envelopes with a suspicious white powder in what the FBI now believes is a hoax. About 75 envelopes have been recovered since April 2.
