Office supplies firm vows to go greener

By Paperstone on January 30, 2008 in Office Supplies

The founder of a leading office supplies company has announced that the firm is to increase its environmentally-friendly range of office equipment.

US-based company Dolphin Blue already promotes the use of environmentally-friendly office products by selling a range of green Papers, along with office furniture made from recycled products.

However, founder and chief executive officer Tom Kemper has said that his company’s office products will now be at least 40 per cent manufactured from recycled materials, up from the firm’s current 20 per cent target.

A new range of eco-friendly office supplies are to be launched by the company later this year.

Mr Kepmer told a conference at the University of Texas: "Paper and Paper packaging are the number one volume commodity entering the waste stream. By using products made from recycled content, we save energy, reduce emissions and preserve our forests.

"These tremendous benefits accrue from the use of recycled-content Papers and other office supply items when used in place of virgin-material products. It makes sense for not only those of us now living, but also for future generations, our progeny."

Mr Kemper started Dolphin Blue in Dallas in 1993.

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office supplies.
