Future office products ‘to be influenced by new HP technology’

By Paperstone on March 26, 2008 in Office Supplies

HP has announced a new range of technologies aimed at making its future office machines ranges faster and improve cost-efficiency.

The company’s most extensive roll-out of new graphic arts technology will be linked to a number of office products to be launched at the Drupa exhibition in Germany in May this year.

New HPprinter cartridges and office equipment featuring the new technologies will be unveiled over the coming years as a result of the $1.4 billion (£700 million) investment made by the company.

Stephen Nigro, senior vice-president of graphics and imaging business at HP, said: "Today’s announcements further cement HP‘s leadership in the graphic arts market, accelerate the analogue-to-digital conversion and propel digital technology as a mainstream product offering.

"These new technologies and products will change the digital printing industry in terms of value, volume and environmental footprint."

Late last month, HP celebrated the 20th anniversary of one of its most influential office products ever.

The HP Deskjet range of office products revolutionised the office machines industry and was the first range to sell over ten million products around the world.
