Re-feel Cartridge Engineering, which specialises in refilling and remanufacturing printer cartridges, said that it has plans for expansion.

The firm, which is based in Kolkata, India, will open a further 100 stores in the nation within the next year, the Indo-Asian News Service reports.

A total of eight exclusive stores and 50 collection centres are set to be opened throughout West Bengal, as the firm attempts to increase its share in the market for recycled printer cartridges.

Services performed by Re-feel Cartridge Engineering will include professional refilling services for inkjet printer cartridges, as well as the remanufacturing of laser printer cartridges.

In addition, compatible recycled inkjet and laser printer cartridges will be sold in the stores.

"This type of refilling cartridge will help provide a high-quality, low-cost print solution. It will also reduce the cost of printing by 50 to 75 per cent," commented West Bengal information technology minister Debesh Das, according to the news provider.

Meanwhile, Re-feel chief executive officer Alkesh Agarwal said that the company was "aiming to open a nationwide chain of organised retail stores at premium locations to capture the untapped territory of refilling cartridges in India".
