New laminators launched by ROTOMEC

The latest in a range of modern duplex laminators has been introduced by ROTOMEC, which is part of Italy’s Bobst Group.

Following a series of viewings and demonstrations of the laminators at the ROTOMEC production facility in S Giorgio Monferrato from October 22nd to November 9th, the CL 850 was launched.

According to the office machines manufacturer, the “high-performance” laminators have a multiple-trolley system which allows different applications to be performed.

These applications include solvent-based and water-based dry lamination, lamination without using solvents, in-register cold seal coating on pre-printed substrates and additional colour in-register printing.

In addition, the laminators have nozzles which the office equipment firm says will guarantee “optimum accessibility for web introduction, as well as for cleaning and maintenance”.

ROTOMEC also stated: “The CL 850 is the best laminator on the market to feature a register control application of this type, due to the perfect integration between ROTOMEC and REGISTRON technologies.”

The new laminators are 1,350 mm wide and have a maximum reel diameter of 1,000 mm.

ROTOMEC, which was founded in 1960 to manufacture printing presses and laminators, joined the Bobst Group in February 2004.
