Kyocera Mita ‘top in office equipment satisfaction’

Office machines manufacturer Kyocera Mita has ranked at the top of a new survey regarding satisfaction with multifunction products and copiers in China.

The JD Power Asia Pacific 2007 China Copier/Multifunction Product Customer Satisfaction Study reveals that Kyocera Mita is considered the best in overall satisfaction among businesses with at least 30 employees in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Respondents said that the most important factors for their satisfaction with office machines are maintenance service (62 per cent), sales (21 per cent) and the product itself (17 per cent).

Following Kyocera Mita in the office products satisfaction poll was Konica Minolta, then Fuji Xerox, Ricoh and Toshiba. All of these office equipment brands ranked above the average for the industry.

"The key to manufacturers improving customer satisfaction lies in whether or not they can gain dealer cooperation in providing excellent customer service in terms of both sales and product maintenance," remarked Yukinobu Sato, general manager of the service and technology group at JD Power Asia Pacific in Tokyo.

He added that "it’s particularly noteworthy" that the top two office equipment companies were ranked highly for maintenance service and sales.

JD Power and Associates was established in 1968 and produces reports on office machines, automobiles and many other sectors.
