Exercise ‘important’ for staff

By Paperstone on July 6, 2007 in Office Supplies

Employers are being encouraged to ensure they pay as much attention to detail in ensuring their staff remain at an optimum physical condition.

Research carried out by employment law consultancy Peninsula indicates that four-fifths of staff believe that the time demands of a their job prevent them from exercising regularly.

Peter done, managing director of Peninsula, also told Online Recruitment: "Fatigue plays a key roll as due to their daily routine office workers simply feet too fatigued to exercise upon leaving the workplace."

The group believes that employers could help staff out in this area by potentially offering them discounted membership to a local gym.

It also believes that employers should set out clear guidelines relating to the use of office equipment, which might include items such as office equipment and printers.
