Xerox unveils bulky new colour laser printer

Copier giant Xerox has unveiled its latest foray into the printer supplies market – a rather bulky colour laser printer.
However, although the Phaser 6360VN Colour Laser Printer weighs in at a hefty 35kg, it prints quickly for a workgroup colour laser.
The machine can shoot out 40 pages per minute and is available for around £750, which is a good price when considering other printer supplies rivals' efforts.
It features a small backlit LCD display with a fairly comprehensive menu system and a 550-sheet paper tray.
Xerox will be confident the machine can establish itself well in the printer supplies market, after Simon Williams from trustedreviews.com handed it an eight out of ten overall rating in his recent study of the printer.
"You might expect the print quality from a Xerox machine to be above-average and for black text, we have few complaints. It's densely black, with no visible spatter and characters are well-formed, with high contrast," he commented.
"There's a bit of registration difficulty with some colour text, but block colours are generally well handled and text-over-colour also looks sharp."
