LG's new 3G candybar hoping to Shine

Office staff in the UK that value fashion as much as function will be pleased to know LG has announced a new candybar version of its Shine model.

The original LG Shine was acclaimed by the Shiny Awards as the Best Fashion Mobile and the candybar style KE770 variation is set to be every bit as popular with office fashion hounds.

It comes with the same features, including a two megapixel camera, 70MB internal memory, Bluetooth and MP3 and its slimmer than the original slide-down model.

The handset comes in a clear metallic finish, which means the vainest office workers can use the phone as a handy mirror too.

Mobile phones and fashion have been linked more strongly than ever recently, with Motorola unveiling its Dolce and Gabanna Motorazr handset and LG itself teaming up with Prada.

And LG will also be hoping its Shine range will appeal more to the younger generation.

In a recent survey by Nielsen Media Research in Australia, LG was revealed to be commonly associated with mothers, while Motorola was considered the phone for the youth of today.
