Homeworkers 'recycle office supplies'

Those who work at home maintain a high standard when it comes to eco-friendly behaviour, according to new research.
A survey by office equipment manufacturer Lexmark reveals that 80 per cent of homeworkers recycle office supplies such as paper.
Additionally, 73 per cent of respondents say they recycle printer cartridges, while 77 per cent use energy-efficient light bulbs.
The office machines company polled 1,000 people in three categories, including those who bring work home to complete on nights or weekends (48 per cent of respondents), those who have a home-based business (29 per cent) and those who work from home periodically (23 per cent).
Among respondents in all categories, 84 per cent said they were concerned about the environment and 82 per cent engaged in energy-saving habits regarding office machines.
"Professionals who are working at home not only want to be more productive, they also want to reduce their impact on the environment. These goals do not need to be mutually exclusive," commented Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its consumer printer division.
"Lexmark has for many years been helping our business customers print less, which helps them reduce their environmental impact."
