HP's inkjet cartridges "best choice" for printing

Hewlett-Packard's (HP's) status as the world's leading printer supplies outfit was confirmed recently, after European Research Firm Innovationstechnik declared its inkjet cartridges the most reliable.

The findings of the study showed that HP'sinkjet cartridges were far superior to a variety of rival 'store/refill brand' and 'refill station' European offerings.

Original HPinkjet cartridges were revealed to print 34 per cent more pages than compatible alternatives and 69 per cent more pages than cartridges refilled at stations.

Vincent Vanderpoel, vice president and general manager of HP imaging and printing group, Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "In yet another test, original HP supplies prove that they offer not only better reliability and better quality results than alternative options, but they give far superior value for money.

"Considering HP's unrivalled commitment to environmental responsibility in printing supplies and choice of supplies to suit every printing project requirement, the reasons to buy anything but originals are becoming less and less convincing."

The research also revealed that on average, 24 per cent of compatible alternatives were dead on arrival or failed prematurely and one in three inkjet cartridges refilled in a shop or station suffered the same problems.
