Advice for choosing remanufactured printer cartridges offered

Printer cartridges An expert has offered advice on how to proceed when shopping for remanufactured printer cartridges.

Chris Robertson writes on pr-gb.com that consumers can save money by buying printer cartridges which have been remanufactured, instead of choosing original equipment manufacturer (OEM) printer cartridges.

He explains that remanufactured printer cartridges are versions of the originals which have been used and refilled.

"Good remanufactured cartridges consist of more than simply filling a used cartridge with ink or toner, though," he says, adding that the cartridges and print head nozzles will have to be cleaned.

Ink which matches the OEM printer cartridges will then be identified, after which they will be filled and tested to make sure they do not leak, have functional circuitry and maintain exact pressure.

"The key to finding the right kind of laser toner or inkjet ink at the right price is understanding the difference between OEM products, compatible products, and re-manufactured products," writes Mr Robertson.

"When you do, that low price you paid for your laser printer, photo printer, or inkjet printer will, indeed, be a bargain."

Recently, new business GreenPrint Technologies claimed that it can help businesses reduce waste from office supplies and printer cartridges.
