Paperstone has picked up 2009’s Independent Dealer Success (IDS) League Web Dealer of the Year award. Paperstone also came 4th overall in the league’s Dealer of the Year 2009. The competition is organised by the office products trade magazine, Dealer Support. The data sent in by the competing companies is collated by MWA, an independent market research company. The purpose of the league is to encourage greater analysis and business management techniques.
The competition is only open to independent office product dealers. The Web Dealer of the Year award takes into account e-commerce sales, number of visitors per month, percentage of repeat visitors, percentage of visitors coming from search engines and the number of marketing mailers sent digitally. The data is processed comparing growth between the companies rather than turnover.
The victory represents reward for the hard work of the Paperstone over a year which has seen continued growth for the company in difficult times. The win is the company’s second major award, with Paperstone’s Director, Max Trotter-Landry, winning British Office Supplies & Services (BOSS) Federation’s Young Professional of the Year 2008 at the end of last year.
Max attributes the success of the company to constant monitoring of key indicators as well as a committed focus on SEO and improving the site’s usability.
“It is challenging to operate an internet only business because you need to be constantly evolving just to stay level with the competition,” said Max. “To come top of a league of you and your competitors is of course incredibly satisfying and real recognition for everyone in the company. Thank you Dealer Support!”
