Injured boy urges locals to donate office supplies

Office supplies People in a US city are being asked to donate office supplies to help a young boy recover after he was knocked over by a car.

Eight-year-old Noah Carriger was hit by a car driven erratically in Dallas on February 13th and received a number of injuries, including the swelling of his brain.

He has spent the last four weeks in a special children's hospital in the Texas city, including two weeks in a coma. Noah is currently battling memory loss but doctors say he is on the road to recovery, KTEN.com reports.

A donation by the Ronald McDonald House charity has enabled Noah to receive expert treatment over the last few weeks and, as a thank you, the Carriger family are urging people around the world to donate office supplies, household supplies and paper products to the charitable foundation.

Noah's mother Tonja Carriger told the news agency of the accident: "I ran out the door and he was unconscious. He had a big gash on his face.

"He asks and I tell him the truth. That he was hit by a car and he says no I wasn't."

Tonja has urged locals, along with those touched by his story, to donate office products and everyday items to the appeal.

"Anything you would use at your home on a day to day basis is what they need."
