HP Photosmart printers 'attractive and easy to use'

HP's Photosmart A826 photo printers are easy to use and contain several attractive design features, it has been claimed.
A review on ZDNet describes the design of the printers as "futuristic" and "space-age", with a "pod-like" shape. The paper is contained completely within the body of the printer and users can add up to 100 sheets at a time.
Meanwhile, the control panel also sports a simple design, with a seven-inch touch-screen display which can show off images being printed. A stylus, four memory card slots and a PictBridge USB port are concealed under the front cover.
Printer cartridges are located beneath a small panel on the front of the printer - but this office machine requires only one cartridge at a time, which will print about 55 4 x 6 photos, according to HP.
The review says that although the Photosmart A826 range of printers are fun and good-looking office machines, the expensive price may put some consumers off purchasing it for home use.
However, it concludes: "Despite the high price, HP has broken new ground with this design and we liked it enough to award it an Editors' Choice designation."
