The constituencies of Ealing Central and Acton, Watford and Filton and Bradley Stoke are three-way marginals<\/i>, with Conservatives, Labour and Lib Dems all close to one another at the last election.<\/p>\n
Celebrity candidates include Blur Drummer Dave Rowntree who is standing as a Labour candidate in Tory stronghold Cities of London and Westminster and Esther Rantzen who is standing as an independent in Luton. If, by the way, Luton is gained by the Tories, that party can expect a majority of 50 plus in the Commons. Having been MP for Bethnal Green and Bow since 2005, George Galloway is standing for the Respect-Unity Coalition in neighbouring Poplar and Limehouse which is effectively a new seat created by boundary changes.<\/p>\n
This election represents the best chance that the Green Party has ever had to win a seat. Leader Caroline Lucas is the favourite to win Brighton Pavilion while the Greens have an outside chance in Norwich South and Lewisham Deptford. UKIP’s Nick Farage is standing against John Bercow, Speaker of the House of Commons (traditionally unopposed by the main parties in General Elections).<\/p>\n
