Bullet Pencils<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"250\" alt=\"bullet pencils\" src=\"\/images\/NewsImages\/2010\/bullet_pencils.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During the American Civil war, soldiers would stick their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\/pens-pencils\/pencils-accessories\/c-3232\">pencils<\/a> in empty rifle cartridges to protect the tips from breaking but bullet pencils soon became a medium for advertising and political marketing. Apparently you can pick them up for next to nothing in flea markets in the States, but you might have to make do with more expensive offers on <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/shop.ebay.co.uk\/?_from=R40&amp;_trksid=p3907.m570.l1312&amp;_nkw=bullet+pencil&amp;_sacat=See-All-Categories\">ebay<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><i>Via<\/i><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acontinuouslean.com\/2008\/06\/23\/obsession-bullet-pencils\/\">  A Continuous Lean<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>2. Lego erasers<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"250\" alt=\"lego eraser\" src=\"\/images\/NewsImages\/2010\/lego_eraser.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Not sold by <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lego.com\/\">Lego<\/a> any more, but again try <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/shop.ebay.co.uk\/?_from=R40&amp;_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&amp;_nkw=lego+eraser&amp;_sacat=See-All-Categories\">ebay<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><i>Via<\/i><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/bleistift.memm.de\/?p=534\"> Bleistift<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>3. Smencils<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"250\" alt=\"smencils\" src=\"\/images\/NewsImages\/2010\/smencils.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Harking back to the early &lsquo;80s Scratch-n-Sniff virus, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smencils.com\/index.html\">Smencils<\/a> are smelly pencils. Made from 100% recycled newsPapers, they are scented with office-relevant flavours like bubblegum and toasted marshmallow. The US site doesn&rsquo;t ship internationally but there is now a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.smencil.co.uk\/world.html\">UK Smencils Site<\/a> (wholesaling but not yet retailing).<\/p>\n<h2>4. Field Notes<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"250\" alt=\"field notes\" src=\"\/images\/NewsImages\/2010\/fieldnotes.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Along with <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.moleskine.co.uk\/\">Moleskine<\/a>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/fieldnotesbrand.com\/shop\">Field Notes<\/a> are desirable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\/books-pads\/c-42\">notebooks<\/a> <i>par excellance<\/i>.
