A new survey commissioned to mark the release of the DVD version of of Terry Pratchett\u2019s novel Going Postal<\/i> has revealed that one in 20 workers have been reprimanded or worse for sending an inappropriate email at work. Thirteen percent of workers have sent an ill-judged email to their colleagues by mistake, while 31 percent have admitted to mistakingly hitting \u201creply all\u201d instead of \u201creply\u201d.<\/p>\n
According to the survey, men are more likely than women to make an email gaffe: 27 percent of men admitted to such a gaffe compared to 17 percent of women.<\/p>\n
Forty-four percent of respondents said that they no longer post letters any more. One in five agreed to have ended a relationship by text message or email.<\/p>\n
