In a poll which seems strangely out of date, it is revealed that desktop computers and laptops are overtaking fax machines<\/a> and printers<\/a> as desk<\/a> equipment viewed as most stylish.<\/p>\n

The poll of 450 European home and office workers commissioned by toner cartridge<\/a> maker Lexmark<\/a> found that 72 percent considered their computer to be the “most stylish” piece of equipment on their desk. Faxes and printers, on the other hand, were considered the least stylish.<\/p>\n

One in four said they would even hide their fax machine from other people.<\/p>\n

Two-thirds of office workers prefer black-coloured office equipment while a quarter prefer white.<\/p>\n

Two-thirds said they would pay more for such equipment if it look sleek and stylish.<\/p>\n
