Force right-handed colleagues to step into your shoes and experience your frustrations in an awareness-raising exercise.<\/p>\n<p>All year round, you have to cope with gadgets and interior design features designed for right-handers\u2019 comfort. You have to use many tools and implements which feel \u201cback-to-front\u201d and make you look awkward and clumsy.<\/p>\n<p>But not on Left-handers day!<\/p>\n<p>Visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lefthandersday.com\/left-handers-day\/celebrate\" target=\"_blank\">Left Handers Day website<\/a> and download a Lefty Zone poster. Next,\u00a0 designate an area in the office where everything must be done left-handed. It will help your right-handed friends understand what you\u2019re up against in a right-handed world!<\/p>\n<p>Right-handers can be encouraged to use their left hands to carry out some simple tasks, for example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fill and pour the <a href=\"\/catering\/kitchen-appliances\/kettles\/l-5073\">office kettle<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Use the microwave control panel (usually positioned on the right of the equipment<\/li>\n<li>Cut paper with normal right-handed scissors in their left hand instead<\/li>\n<li>Use the computer keypad to enter lots of figures<\/li>\n<li>Make themselves a sandwich and peel an apple<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to keep the office swear-box handy!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Calling all lefties \u2013 it\u2019s time to join in the protest on August 13th!
