Running with a camera strapped to his head, athletic James Heptonstall made a mad dash from Mansion House to Cannon Street tube stations.<\/p>\n
James left his friend Noel Carroll on the Circle line train and sprinted 380 metres between the two stations, to the amazement of fellow passengers.<\/p>\n
They thought it was Mission Impossible, but the England touch rugby player proved them wrong, running up some steps and along the road to Cannon Street station.<\/p>\n
As the train pulled into Cannon Street, Mr Heptonstall came down the stairs onto the platform and leapt on to the same carriage he had left just 80 seconds earlier.<\/p>\n
He collapsed on the floor of the train to get his breath back, while gobsmacked passengers applauded.<\/p>\n
A video of the race made by James and Noel has now become a big hit on YouTube.<\/p>\n
In an interview with the Evening Standard, Mr Heptonstall said: “While I was running someone asked Noel what I was doing. They said they did not think I would make it.<\/p>\n
“The other passengers were all waiting on tenterhooks. But then I dived into the Tube and they were applauding.”<\/p>\n
